Our traning methodology rapidly prepares students to protect themselves realistically, effectively, and efficiently. This is a key component of our curriculum and the first fundamental purpose of true Martial Arts training.
Students begin weapons training and application of combat principles immediately. Internal training begins gradually, and eventually becomes the largest part of advanced training - from defense to health and spiritual understanding.
Ogichidaakana is taught through the understanding of movement. We do not merely focus on particular techniques that are designed for specific attacks. We stress application of correct movements. Movement is universal; techniques are not.
